Kevin Costner was not surprised when his ex-wife Christine Baumgartner confirmed her relationship with Josh Connor earlier this month. The Oscar-winning actor had already sensed that there was something brewing between the two, according to a new report.

A source told Us Weekly that Costner, 69, who starred in the hit series Yellowstone, had 'had strong suspicions' about Baumgartner and Connor's romance for a while. The insider claimed that the new couple's 'close [bond] was a real elephant in the room' whenever they were around Costner.
Baumgartner, 48, and Connor, 31, who played Costner's son on Yellowstone, made their relationship public on January 10, when they attended the 81st Golden Globe Awards together. They posed for photos on the red carpet and shared a kiss during the ceremony.
Costner, who was also present at the event, did not interact with his ex-wife or her new beau, according to the source. The veteran actor, who has been nominated for 15 Golden Globes and won two, was there to present an award.
Costner and Baumgartner tied the knot in 2004 and have three children together: Cayden, 17, Hayes, 15, and Grace, 13. They announced their separation in May 2023, citing 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for their divorce. They finalized their split in September 2023, after a bitter legal battle over custody and finances.
