Los Angeles, CA — A series of sexually suggestive text messages allegedly sent by Red Bull Racing principal and CEO Christian Horner to a subordinate female employee has ignited a firestorm of controversy. The leaked messages, which range from “Santa PJ selfies” to comments about “stretching legs” and regular jokes about Spanx, have been widely circulated on social media, leaving fans and critics stunned.
Horner, who returned to the paddock in Bahrain today, had recently been cleared to continue as Red Bull team principal following an internal probe into “inappropriate behavior”—an accusation he has consistently denied. However, just 24 hours after his clearance, the texts exchanged between Horner and the complainant were anonymously sent to 149 journalists and leading figures in F1, thrusting his marriage to Spice Girl Geri Halliwell into the spotlight.
Friends of Halliwell have expressed concern, with some suggesting that their marriage is “in question for the first time”. The leaked messages have also raised ethical concerns, potentially violating the moral behavior code set by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA). This code prohibits any words, deeds, or writings that cause “moral injury or loss” to the FIA or its members.
Sources close to the employee have questioned the decision to clear Horner, emphasizing that the crude messages allegedly sent by her boss should be reevaluated. Meanwhile, Halliwell, who arrived in Bahrain last night, is reportedly experiencing “the meltdown to end all meltdowns” over the leaks.
In response to the leak, Horner released a statement reiterating his denial of the allegations: “I will not comment on anonymous speculation, but to reiterate, I have always denied the allegations.”
As the scandal unfolds, the world watches closely, wondering how this controversy will impact both Horner’s professional standing and his personal life. Stay tuned for further updates as this story continues to develop. 🏎️🔥
