In a recent interview with vlogger Shivani Pau, the multi-talented actor opened up about his struggles with depression and substance abuse after his mother was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer that had spread to her lungs. Munene’s mother raised him single-handedly, and he was devastated by the news of her diagnosis. He said, “I decided to numb myself by getting high, and when in my room, I asked ‘God, if you truly exist, why do you allow bad things to happen to good people?’” 1.
