The hit song Sunflower by Post Malone and Swae Lee has made history by becoming the most certified song of all-time, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The 2018 song, which was released for the soundtrack of the Oscar-winning animated film Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, has achieved 20-times Platinum status, meaning it has sold or streamed over 20 million units in the US.

The RIAA announced the milestone on its Twitter account on Friday, congratulating the two artists for their achievement.

Sunflower surpassed the previous record holder, Imagine by John Lennon, which had 19-times Platinum certifications.
