In a touching display of love and devotion, Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu has captured hearts worldwide by publicly kneeling before her husband. The undated video, aired on Azam TV, shows the Head of State proudly proclaiming this wifely act, emphasizing the importance of family and marital traditions.

Addressing an audience, President Suluhu urged citizens to preserve their cultural heritage. “Mila zetu nzuri, bila kuwacha sifa na desturi zetu, ni nzuri,” she declared. “Tuende na wanaume katika kuleta maendeleo.” Her words underscored the significance of unity and shared values.
The President’s heartfelt admission continued: “Nayasema haya wasababu mwingine anaeza kutoka hapa kasema Rais Kasema tuko sawa na haja zote za kijamii. Uongo. Hatuko kwa nyanja zote za kijamii. Mimi naomba kama Rais mbele ya mume wangu nitapiga goti.” She emphasized that her status as President does not diminish her commitment to honoring her husband.
