Elsa Majimbo, a Kenyan content creator who rose to fame with her hilarious videos on social media, has recently faced backlash from some of her fellow countrymen for her negative comments about Kenya. The 22-year-old, who is currently based in the United States, claimed that she left Kenya because of the discrimination and hatred she faced for being a dark-skinned girl. She also said that she now lives in a place where people worship her for her skin tone and talent.
However, not everyone is impressed by Majimbo's success and attitude. One of them is KRG The Don, a renowned musician and producer who is known for his hit songs such as Mambo Imechemka and Mathogothanio. The artist took to his Instagram page to slam Majimbo for making "small and silly money" and thinking that Kenya is a disgrace to her. He also offered to pay her a whopping 5 million dollars (KSh 765 million) for her to cease being a Kenyan and stop talking ill about the country.
"I wanna pay this young blood $5 million (KSh 765 million) to cease being a Kenyan because she made small and silly money and thought Kenya as a country is a disgrace to her. Kenya is the best country in the entire world if you make the right moves," he wrote.
KRG The Don's post sparked mixed reactions from his followers, with some supporting his offer and others asking him to share the money with Kenyans instead. Some also questioned where he would get such a huge amount of money from, while others advised him to ignore Majimbo and focus on his music.
Majimbo, on the other hand, has not responded to KRG The Don's offer or the criticism she has received from some Kenyans. She previously asked for proof of her hate remarks, saying that she never said she hates Kenya. She also said that she loves her country and her fans, and that she is proud of her achievements.
Majimbo is one of the most successful and influential Kenyan celebrities, having won several awards and collaborated with global brands and personalities. She has also been featured on international media platforms such as Vogue, Forbes, and CNN. She is known for her witty and relatable videos, where she wears sunglasses and munches on crisps while making funny observations about life.
