The Duchess of Sussex showed off her comedic skills in a new commercial for Clevr Blends, the oat latte company she invested in last year.
The ad, which was posted on Instagram by the brand, features Meghan Markle as an intern who helps out with various tasks around the office, such as stacking boxes, making hot drinks, and working on a computer in the digital department.
She also appears as an extra in the background of several scenes, while the CEO and co-founder of Clevr Blends, Hannah Mendoza, walks around the company's headquarters and thanks the team for their hard work in 2023.
The commercial ends with a funny moment, where Markle tries to fist bump another employee, but misses and walks away awkwardly, causing everyone to burst out laughing.
The caption of the video reads: 'Damn, you’re keeping us BUSY right now! Had to call in some reinforcements. So grateful for the immense love and support this year—thanks for helping us keep the latte-loving dream alive, and thriving!xo'
Markle, 42, confirmed in December 2020 that she had invested an undisclosed sum in Clevr Brands, which has a range of lattes that come in powder form and are made with organic ingredients, adaptogens, and probiotics.
She said at the time that she was 'proud to invest in Hannah's commitment to sourcing ethical ingredients and creating a product that I personally love and has a holistic approach to wellness.'
She also used her connections to promote the company, which was founded in January 2019 and is based in Santa Barbara, California, by sending a basket of products to her neighbour and friend Oprah Winfrey, who shared the products on her Instagram stories and praised them as 'delicious'.
The ad has received over 100,000 views and thousands of comments from fans who praised Markle's acting skills, sense of humour, and support for female entrepreneurs.
