Joe Budden Defends Removing Commentary on Diddy Assault Video from Podcast

Joe Budden has recently defended his decision not to provide commentary on the viral Diddy video, which captured the embattled mogul violently assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie.

In audio obtained by TMZ, the rapper-turned-podcaster addressed the “conspiracy theories” surrounding his silence. Budden explained that he refrained from discussing the video due to its sensitive nature and the lack of proper care it received during the broadcast.

“Do you guys ever stop to think that not everything is this deep conspiracy that y’all want it to be?” he said. “We were dead in the middle of the broadcast yesterday. I’ll put the suspense to bed.”

Back in November, Joe Budden chose not to comment on Cassie’s accusations against Diddy, which included rape, sex trafficking, and physical abuse. He cited legal reasons and the risk of misrepresentation by media outlets as factors for his silence

Budden emphasized that he didn’t want to inherit potential legal troubles associated with Diddy’s alleged actions. Additionally, he felt it would be insensitive to discuss the lawsuit while it was ongoing.

As a responsible broadcaster, Budden acknowledged the responsibility that comes with having Diddy as a listener of his podcast. He concluded by stating that, at the moment, he lacks proof of Diddy’s alleged crimes.
