Rapper Rich The Kid was arrested on Monday in Miami after he defied police orders and tried to enter a hotel where a bomb threat was being investigated.

The 31-year-old, whose real name is Dimitri Leslie Roger, was staying at the SLS Hotel when the police received a call about a possible explosive device in the building. The police set up a perimeter around the hotel and prevented anyone from going inside while they searched for the bomb.

However, Rich The Kid insisted that he needed to get to his room and ignored the police warnings. He told the officers, “I’ll bond out in 20 minutes” and attempted to enter the hotel through another entrance, but was stopped by security.

He then jumped over a fence and ran into a K-9 unit. He refused to leave the hotel premises and was arrested by the police. He was charged with two misdemeanors: resisting an officer without violence and trespassing.

According to The Shade Room, Rich The Kid was trying to get to his room because he had a meeting with a music promoter who owed him money for a performance. He was supposed to perform at the Hyde Beach nightclub later that night with NLE Choppa and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.

Rich The Kid was released from jail shortly after his arrest and posted a video on Instagram from the movie Scarface, where the main character tells the police, “You want to waste my time? Okay. I call my lawyer. He’s the best lawyer in Miami. He’s such a good lawyer that by tomorrow morning, you’re gonna be working in Alaska… so dress warm.”

This is not the first time that Rich The Kid has been in trouble with the law this year. In April, he was sued by a woman who claimed that he paid her $10,000 in “hush money” to keep quiet about their affair and a terminated pregnancy. The woman also accused him of sexually assaulting her and breaching their agreement. Rich The Kid denied the allegations and said that he never had a relationship with the woman.
