Ramon Holmes and Ruth Langsford's shock divorce announcement has stunned fans, with a close colleague attributing their split to their sacking from ITV's This Morning. The beloved TV couple, both 64, revealed their decision to part ways after 14 years of marriage over the weekend.

Behavioral psychologist Jo Hemmings, who frequently appeared on This Morning alongside Eamonn and Ruth, suggested that their removal from the show in 2021 marked the beginning of the end for their relationship. Hemmings shared her insights with The Sun, expressing that she had never observed any significant issues in their marriage prior to their sacking.

"Presenting This Morning together seemed to be their version of quality time," Hemmings explained. "Their interactions, although marked by occasional bickering, were filled with warmth and affection. Hosting the show together appeared to strengthen their bond, unlike many couples who might find such a dynamic stressful."

The abrupt exit from This Morning  left the couple on different schedules, with Eamonn moving to GB News and Ruth continuing her role on Loose Women. According to Hemmings, this shift in their routines and lack of shared professional time likely contributed to their growing apart.

"When they were removed from the daytime show, it disrupted both their personal and professional lives," she noted. "Without their regular shared moments, even small rifts can quickly widen."

In a 2022 interview with The Mirror' Eamonn candidly discussed their departure from *This Morning, denying claims that he had left ITV for GB News. He emphasized that he was not given a reason for his sacking, which further fueled speculation about the impact on their marriage.

A source close to the couple added that the change in their careers significantly altered their relationship. "Eamonn and Ruth's relationship changed when they left  This Morning. Their careers took different directions, and their priorities shifted."

Eamonn and Ruth's journey began in 1997 through a mutual friend, leading to their marriage in 2010. They share a 22-year-old son, Jack, and had been together for 27 years before their recent split.
