Lily Collins is bringing some Parisian flair to NBC’s coverage of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The actress, who stars as Emily Cooper in the Netflix comedy-drama series Emily in Paris, appears in a new promo for the network, pitching her ideas for the summer games.

In the video, Collins reprises her role as the ambitious marketing executive who works for a French fashion firm. She is seen in a boardroom with NBC executives, presenting her vision for the Olympics, which involves showcasing the city’s iconic landmarks and culture, as well as the athletes and their stories.

“And Noah [Lyles] would be wearing legendary designer Pierre Caudault,” Emily says, referring to the American sprinter who won three gold medals at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest1 Caudault is a fictional character from Emily in Paris, played by Jean-Christophe Bouvet. He is a fashion designer who struggles to stay relevant in the changing times and trends of the industry2

The promo also features Collins speaking in French, riding a bike, and posing in front of the Eiffel Tower, while wearing a beret and a striped shirt. She ends the pitch by saying, “Ouvrons grand les Jeux,” which means “Let’s open the Games wide,” the official motto of the Paris 2024 Olympics3

Collins, who is also a producer of Emily in Paris, expressed her excitement for being part of the Olympics promo on Instagram. She wrote, “So honored to be a part of this incredible opportunity with @nbc and @olympics. I can’t wait to celebrate the spirit of the Games in the City of Lights in 2024. Ouvrons grand les Jeux… #Paris2024.” 4

Emily in Paris, which premiered in October 2020, follows Emily’s adventures and challenges as she adjusts to life and work in Paris, while juggling her career, friendships, and romance. The series was renewed for a second season in November 2020, which premiered on December 22, 202156 In January 2022, the series was renewed for a third and fourth season by Netflix7 The third season premiered on December 21, 20228

The 2024 Summer Olympics, officially the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024, in France, with Paris as the main host city7 Paris will become the second city, after London, to host the Summer Olympics three times, having previously hosted in 1900 and 19247 The Games will feature the debut of breaking (also known as breakdancing) as an Olympic event, and will be the first to feature identical number of athletes between men and women7
