Cori Broadus, the daughter of rapper Snoop Dogg, is on the mend after experiencing a stroke earlier this week. The 24-year-old singer and model shared an update on her health on Friday (January 19), a day after she was hospitalized.
In a series of posts on her Instagram stories, Broadus thanked her fans, friends, and family for their prayers and well-wishes. She also revealed that she had a stroke on Thursday (January 18), but did not disclose the cause or severity of the condition.
"I'm okay, just recovering from a stroke," she wrote. "I'm ready to go home, I hate it here."
Broadus, who goes by the stage name CHOC, is the youngest child and only daughter of Snoop Dogg and his wife Shante Broadus. She has been open about her struggles with mental health and body image in the past, and has used her platform to promote self-love and acceptance.
She also released her debut EP, Don't Call Me, in 2019, which featured collaborations with her father and other artists. She has been working on new music and recently teased a song called "New Phone, Who Dis?" on her Instagram.
Snoop Dogg has not publicly commented on his daughter's health scare, but he has been supportive of her career and personal growth. In 2018, he posted a heartfelt message for her birthday, calling her his "baby girl" and "chocolate superstar".
"Happy birthday to my baby girl CHOC. You are so amazing and talented and beautiful and I love you more than words can say," he wrote. "You have been a light in my life since the day you were born and I thank God for blessing me with you. Keep shining, keep growing, keep being you."
